THE STUDY OF FAITH

This study is a study on faith. Faith is very important. Faith and belief are words kind of alike. We all have faith. But faith in what is the question. There is natural faith and there is supernatural faith. Faith is what gets us going. We have faith to get up out of bed. We don’t hesitate to get out of bed wandering if the floor is going to give way or hold us up. We have faith to go to bed for that matter. We don’t wander if the bed will hold us or cave in. We have faith to go outside not wandering if the ground is going to give way. When we go outside we go outside. No thought about it. Out we go! This is unconscious faith. It is easy for us to believe in things that we see and can hear, touch or taste. Sense knowledge faith this is called. If we can see it we believe it. But this is not the best kind of faith. Faith based on the Word of God is a better faith. The things that we see are temporal. They can change and be gone with the wind. When words like doubt and unbelief are used it is used to refer to people doubting and not believing the Bible the Word of God. Not having faith in God and His Word is called doubting and unbelief. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Galatians 3
2This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
5He therefore that ministereth to your the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Abraham was counted righteous by his faith. He believed God. He believed that what God said was true and that was that. Abraham believed what God said was true to the extended that he would have sacrificed his son Isaac that was such a miracle child. In that Sara his wife was well up in years well beyond child baring years when she conceived him. Abraham without any hesitate was ready to sacrifice him. At the last second God stopped him. Abraham believed God so that he believed that it would be just like God said. Even when Abraham was told that his wife would get pregnant and conceive a child. He could have laughed and doubted that since Sara was at least 80 years old. Abraham believed God in what he said, Even though his eyes and everything in the natural told him otherwise.

Luke 17
5And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Faith is the greatest gift a person can have. If a person has faith then he can believe God for what ever they need and are in need of. Faith is what is required to get to heaven. In order to get to heaven a person has to born again. A person needs to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and they need to ask Jesus to come into their heart. This takes faith. Faith says there is a way when there doesn’t appear to be a way. A person who has faith has hope. Faith to us is like gasoline to a car. Faith gets us from here to there. Even if we only have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed that’s all we need .Mustard seed faith can move mountains. Mustard seed faith can move sycamine trees. If mustard seed faith can do all this just think what faith that bigger can do. We start somewhere. The best place to start is where you are at. If you are like most me included its mustard seed faith. The smallest faith that there is. The more you hear the Word of God the more your faith grows. As you keep in the Word of God hearing God’s Word your faith keeps growing and growing before you know it you got strong faith. Its gradual it doesn’t hit you like a ton of bricks. It comes and you are not really aware of what is happening. It‘s not until someone notices it about and mentions it to you that you start thinking about it and realize that they’re right! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Luke 17 Continued –
11And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
This person was not Jewish. This person was not apart of the covenant that God had made with Abraham and to his seeds. Which are the Jewish people. Israel was the name given to Jacob Isaac’s son. Jacob had 12 sons they are called the twelve tribes of Israel. God had a covenant with the Jewish people. God was obligated to take care of them but not so with the rest of the people who not Jewish. God had made a covenant with Abraham that extended to all the offspring of Abraham, His grandchildren and their grandchildren etc and etc. The people outside of the covenant God was not obligated to take care of. But if someone who was not apart of the covenant had faith Jesus honoured their faith. Jesus didn’t ignore their faith. Jesus was looking for faith. Jesus was taken that this person who was healed along with 9 other people got healed of leprosy who came and thanked Him. The other nine didn’t. This person was a no covenanted person. This person wasn’t Jewish.
Romans 4
9Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
13For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

God said it Abraham believed and that settled it. This is how we are to be. Faith is unconscious belief. Like a child believes mommy and daddy. They take mommy and daddy at face value. If you as a parent say to your child take come Saturday you’re going to take them to the zoo. You better not forget that and make other plans. Your children will hold you to it. They remember and remember will. Those of you with children know what I am talking about. God gave Abraham promises and Abraham believed God. God made a covenant with Abraham. In making a covenant God was making a covenant with Abraham’s seed which is singular which is with Jesus. This is why when Jesus came to the earth this is called the new covenant. The old covenant was made to Abraham and to His seed after him. The new covenant is with Jesus and to all of us who are born again.
Luke 18
15And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
Luke 18
35And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:
36And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.
37And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
38And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
39And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
40And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,
41Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42And Jesus said unto him, receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
Faith is a gift given by god for every person to use. Some people use their faith and other people do not. Faith is like a car. It gets you from point A to point B. Faith brings that which is not into existence. God honours faith. Scriptures brings this out. Going through the gospels this is what I see. That Jesus is taken by or taken back by people’s faith or lack of.
Luke 22
31And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Here we see what is so important and that is faith. The Lord prayed for Simon Peter that his faith fail not. Faith is like a shield. For the bible says that we have the shield of faith that we are able to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy. We all need to use our faith. We need to exercise and develop our faith. This comes by using our faith. Start where you are. Use your faith for what you can believe God for. As time goes on your faith will grow and get stronger. You will be believing God for what you couldn’t before.
John 3
14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness; even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Faith is the main ingredient needed in getting saved. Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Faith is needed. Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ shall be saved and those who don’t won’t be saved. It takes faith to believe. Both words here means the same. Faith is taking hold and making it yours. Whatever you are believing it is faith that makes it yours.
John 3
27John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
God honours faith. Every good thing comes from God above.
1 Thessalonians 1
2We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
3Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
Romans 12
3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
No one can say that they don’t have faith. For The Word says that God has given to every man the measure of faith.
1 Corinthians 2
1And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God
Our faith is not to be sense knowledge nor in the things of this world. This world is temporal. Here today and gone tomorrow. Our faith is to be in the power of God According to the word of God.
Habakkuk 2
4Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith

We walk by faith and not by sight. We are just for Jesus make us to be just. We live by our faith and not by what we see or hear. We live by what we believe our faith and not by sense knowledge.
We keep our eyes straight ahead on the Lord. We do not look to the left or right. We will not be moved.
Acts 3
1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
3Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
4And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have given I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
12And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
14But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
This man got healed through faith in the name of Jesus. It took faith to heal this man. Faith in the Name of Jesus healed this man. We all get saved by faith. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We believe that Jesus died for our sins. We believed the Gospel message.
Hebrews 11
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Faith is the substance of things that we hope for but we don’t have the evidence or substance of it. We can’t see it or hear it but we know that it is. This is God’s realm. This is how God operates. This is how God created all that there is. When God created the earth and the universe there was nothing there that could be seen. It took faith to bring everything that now is into existence.
We must display faith. We ought to use our faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God. For everyone who comes to God must believe that God is. God is a rewarder of those to seek Him. God rewards people for using their faith.
Romans 1
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
This is what we are suppose to do. That is to use our faith. It is our faith that gets us by. By faith we stand. We live by faith and not by sight.
Romans 4
1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Faith is not intangible. People use it without even knowing that they do use it. It’s unconscious faith. What gets a person into heaven is faith in Jesus Christ. What keeps a person from entering into heaven is unbelief in Jesus Christ. What we believe in is the key element here. Most of the faith message has been used for getting material possessions and to increase prosperity. I am not knocking either. But to keep both elements as a key element of the faith message is amidst. I ask the question faith in what and who. Faith in God has been taken out of it, Can’t take God out of the picture. This is where our faith should be in. God wants for us to prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. Our faith should be in God to bring in our prosperity and meeting all of our needs and wants. It is not faith in our faith. To have faith in God to prosper us is scriptural. God wants to prosper us. God wants to prosper us. The mistake is to use the faith message as a get rich quick scheme, Thinking that they can just use to their faith to get rich quick. But forget to put God into the picture, Using faith principles. This faith message struck the fancy of a lot of people, Wanting more possessions, Bigger houses and etc, etc. These people just were trying to apply these principles of faith to get things, Leaving God out of the picture. Their eyes are on the object not on the source, Which is sad! We should believe God to prosper us and to meet all of our needs and wants. God does not want for us to be poor and having to beg. This is the other extreme. Some people think that this makes them holy or something. No it doesn’t! It just makes them poor. God wants for people to prosper.
2 Corinthians 1
24Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
By faith we stand. Faith is our shield. Our faith protects us against all the darts of the devil.

Ephesians 6
23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
Colossians 2
5For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
We are to keep our faith in the Lord.
Luke 24
24And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
The Lord was referring to faith here.
John 3
9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knows not these things?
11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
It is on the grounds of faith that we are saved. Whosoever believes in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life. Our salvation is on the basis of faith. We must believe in Jesus Christ that He is the Son of God. By doing so we have eternal life and we won’t perish. It is through faith that we hook up with what God has done for us. Our faith is the connecter.
28Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30He must increase, but I must decrease.
31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Faith is the key to how we make ours what God has done for us. Faith is how we make it ours.
1 Thessalonians 1
3Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
4Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
John 5
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
John 6
26Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
28Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
All that God requires us to do is to believe. To have faith.
30They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
31Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Faith is the key that opens the door. We hear the Lord knocking at the door of our heart. We have faith so we open the door of our heart to the Lord and the Lord comes in. Faith in a person is what the Lord is looking for.
38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
Faith in Jesus Christ will get you into heaven and doubt and unbelief will keep a person out of heaven. Always wanting a sign to see is not faith. Faith believes without seeing with the natural eyes. Faith has spiritual eyes. The eyes of your spirit sees by and this is called faith.
43Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
46Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48I am that bread of life.
49Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we get into heaven. We believe in Jesus Christ so we have eternal life.
1 Timothy 1
14And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
18This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
We have the measure of faith. We are in Christ Jesus so we have abundant faith and love at our disposal to use. We are not to throw away our faith and confidence for both have a great recompense of reward.
John 7
37In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

John 11
14Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
This is a case of where seeing, is believing. Jesus was wanting for these people to see the miracle. So that by seeing that these people will believe in Him. This is sense knowledge faith, Based on the five senses. Jesus had not yet died so Jesus yet. Jesus had brought salvation to mankind yet. Jesus was wanting any kind of faith that He could find from these people. The miracles that Jesus performed was to inspire faith in the people. Giving them something tangible that they could see to get some faith coming the people. Faith is the connection that is needed to connect with God. Faith is what God is looking for.
2 Timothy 1
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Jesus brought faith to the forefront. Everyone who is born again is in Christ Jesus. In Christ there is faith and love. We don’t have to try to muster up faith for we have faith for we are in Christ.
13Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
John 19
35And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.
36For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
37And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
John 20
24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.
29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
The act of Thomas wanting to feel Jesus’ died and hands before he would believe that Jesus rose from the dead is the classic case of sense knowledge. He wanted to see this, feel this before he would believe. God will honour this starting out but it is the lowest level of faith that there is. The devil lives and thrives on this level. A heart felt belief in God’s Word is a higher form of faith. To believe what God says and believe it is a better way to go, to see with the eyes of your spirit. It takes time to be able to this. Not everybody is at the same level of faith as another person is. You start where you are. At whatever level you are on that is where you start? The more you step out the more your faith will grow and deepen. Your faith should be built upon God’s Word. The more you sent time confessing God’s Word and spending time in God’s Word then acting on God’s Word. The more your faith will grow. It will be unconscious faith. You won’t even know you are doing this. You just will be. It’s like learning to walk. You put one foot out in front of you then the other. A child will stumble and fall some. But they just pick themselves up and try again. They probably do stumble and fall again. They just stand up and start trying to walk and then before you know it they are walking, As if they had been doing so all along. The same principle is true with using one’s faith. You start to put one foot in front of you and start using your faith where you are at. You may and most likely will stumble and fall at first. Don’t get discouraged and quit. No child does that. The child wants to get from here to there bad enough so they keep at it until they are walking. So should you in exercising your faith. So what if you stumble we all have and still do at times. We just get up and keep at it. Tenacity wins out.
Luke 7
36And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Mark 14
3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
7For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
9Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
Jesus had preached to the people telling them that He was going to die and then the third day be raised from the dead. This women had heard Jesus and believed in Him. She was preparing Jesus for His burial. Jesus was touched by her act of faith and compassion and commanded that her act of faith be told of her as a memorial to her.

Acts 3
1Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
2And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
14But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all
This is where it is at. It is faith that gets us the end results. The key is faith in God. Faith in the Name of Jesus will get you healed. This does not mean not to go to the doctor if you or your loved ones need to go. Go by all means. This will not negate your faith. If a person or loved one needs to see a doctor by all means see one. Use your faith in the word of God in the mean time, If your faith is strong and you can believe the Lord for your healing great. If your faith is not, there yet then let the doctor take care of you. You may get your healing in the midst of the doctor’s care. Nothing wrong with that. Never believe for what is beyond your faith level to believe. Believe what you can believe for. In time your faith will grow and get stronger.
Acts 4
1And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
It is the Word of God that brings faith, the hearing of the Word of God that brings faith.
19But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
21So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
22For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.
23And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
24And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
25Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
26The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
27For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done
29And now, Lord, behold their threatening: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
Hebrews 10
15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21And having an high priest over the house of God;
22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised ;)
We do not need to go into the throne room of God cowering down or timidly. We are children and we have rights. We should go in boldly and make our requests unto God known. This is what God wants for us to do! When we ask we should not doubt God as to whether He is going to answer our requests. S long as we ask according to His Word then God is going to grant us our requests. So we should not be wishy washy about it. We believe and that settles it!
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
This means that we should be patient.
12Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
17By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
20By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
22By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
23By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
24By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
27By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
28Through faith he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
29By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
30By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
31By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
32And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
34Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourging, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, and were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38(Of whom the world was not worthy :) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
We live by faith and not by sight. Faith is not tangible so that a person can see it or hear it with the eyes or ears of our body. Faith is from our spirit. We know that we know that we know. We don’t have the actual possession of what we are believing in but our faith says that we do have it. now. In time the actual possession is reality.
24By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
37They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, and were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38(Of whom the world was not worthy :) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Acts 10
34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
37That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
39And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:
40Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;
41Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Salvation is by faith. Got to believe. Comes from the heart not from the head.
James 1
1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diver’s temptations;
3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The devil will come to try your faith, To see if you mean business or not. Stand fast unmovable and don’t listen to the lies of the devil who will try to shake your faith, Trying to get you to back off of your faith. Don’t listen to his lies and don’t blink an eye. Keep your gaze straight forward on what you are believing the Lord for. The devil will try to get you to doubt and will try to get into disbelief.. Just take authority over the devil and keep on believing the Lord for whatever it is you are believing the Lord for.
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 2
1My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
8If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
14What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Faith is the substance of what we are hoping for and the evidence of what not is seen. Faith is an action word. A person acts on what they believe in. You believe that a bed will hold you up at night. At bedtime you have no qualms about going to bed and getting into that bed at night and going to sleep. There are no thoughts as to whether that bed will hold you up or fall down. And drop you. I bet there is not a thought in your mind in regards to this at all. I bet you lie down and o to sleep pretty quickly. It is unconscious faith. Faith demands action! That is why faith without works is dead. A person acts on what they believe. If a person believes that it is going to rain out. Then that person will bring an umbrella. If a person believes that it is too late to be going out that person will stay inside. A person will act on what they believe. Faith demands action, whatever they believe. The faith that God honours comes from the heart and believes what the Lord say’s is true. True faith, is believing the Lord that what the Lord says is true and believes that the Lord will do what He says He will do. Without seeing with their physical eyes or hearing through their physical ears that is so. Knowing that it is so. Know that they know that they know. They see through the eyes of their spirit. It is believing as a child. A child believes in their parents, When mommy or daddy says that they will do something. That is good as gold. This means that mommy and daddy are going to do it in the eyes of that child. There is no if and or maybe’s about it. It is so in the eyes of that child.
Acts 14
6They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7And there they preached the gospel.
8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
This is what can happen when faith is exerted. Faith is what connects us with God
26And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
It is through faith that we connect with God. God looks for faith. Faith in Him and faith in His Word.
Acts 15
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
It is hearing the Word of God and believing in the Word of God that saves. It is the grace of the Lord that saved us. We have to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is order to be saved. It takes our faith to clench it for us. God did His part in saving us by dying for us in our place on the cross. It also takes faith on our part to connect with what God has done for us. We have to reach out and take what God is offering to us. Our faith is what reaches out and takes it. It is the word of god that reaches people’s hearts. Once the Word of God is heard then God’s Word does the work, Working on people’s hearts to convict them. For the purpose of getting them saved. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. We hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ the gospel of our salvation. We mix the hearing with faith by believing the message that Jesus is the Son of God and we believe that Jesus died for us. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ so we are saved.
James 5
14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him
When you pray to god believe you give what you prayed and asked God for and you shall receive it. That’s what the Word of God says.
1 Peter 1
7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Faith comes from the heart and does not require seeing with the natural eyes. Faith believes without having to see with the natural eyes.
17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
This is the key for and of faith. That our faith be in God. Not faith in our faith. Not faith in faith. But faith in God.
23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
2 Peter 1
1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are to give all diligence which adds virtue to our faith.
Acts 26
18To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Here we go by faith again. It is by faith that we are sanctified. We must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We is what makes believers out of us and it is why unbelievers who don’t believe. They have no faith in God. So they are not saved. In order to get saved a person must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Once they hear the Word of God then the Word goes to work on the person. As long as that person responds to the word of God that they hear then God can reach them. But if a person after time of being dealt with keeps rejecting the word of God then that person will be hardening their heart to the Lord and His Word Making it harder for the Lord to reach them. But as long as a person responds once hearing the Word of God then faith will come. For faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
1 John 4
14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Numbers 13
30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
By faith they possessed it and overcame it. This was done by faith. They believed that they could so they did. Had they not had faith to do this they wouldn’t have done it. They would have either choked up or retreated. This was not the case for they believed that they could do this. So they did it.
1 John 5
1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ is saved. Whosoever has faith in Jesus Christ is saved.
Faith is what connects us with God and what God has done for us. Faith in what the Lord has done for us and makes what He did for us ours.
6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Matthew 8
5And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
By the centurion’s faith his servant was healed. He believed the Lord’s Word. Faith in the Word of God.
Matthew 9
1And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
6But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7And he arose, and departed to his house.
8But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
Matthew 15
21Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying; Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Matthew 21
21Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Jesus is laying out the principles for faith here. This is what we are told to do to be our prayers answered. To ask in faith believing we will receive what we ask of Him. As long as we ask in line with His Word then we will receive what we asked for. But if we doubt that we will receive and start doubting then we negates what we are asking for. It is an insult to God. It’s as if you are saying I don’t really believe that you will or can do this. Believe that you receive when you ask god then you will get it as long as you ask aright. The best thing is not to ask God for something that you can’t believe God for. Don’t go beyond your faith. Believe God for what you can believe God for. In time your faith will grow and you will be able to believe god for bigger and better things. You start where you are at. It’s like building a house. You start by building a foundation and keep building up until you get your house built. Faith works the same way you start on the ground floor where you are at. Start believing God for things that you can believe God for. More and more and your faith will grow and you will start believing God for more and more things. As you keep building up until the house is built. You are able to believe god for much more than you could when you first started out. It’s a process. No one starts out in the same place. Everyone starts out when they are at. Believe God for what you can believe Him for and in time your faith will grow.
Romans 1
7To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
This is what we are striving for that we will have strong faith in the Lord.
12That is that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

We are just and we live by faith.
Romans 4
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Romans 5
1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
By believing in the Lord we have access in this grace. We are justified by faith. By believing in the Lord Jesus Christ we are justice. We have access to god by faith so we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 8
24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Mark 6
53And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
55And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
It was their faith that healed them.
Mark 7
26The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
Jesus saw her faith and honoured her faith. So she got what she was wanting. Her daughter was delivered of the devil. This is what God is looking for. He is looking for faith in us. Faith is how we connect with God. We are to have faith in God.
Romans 10
4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth
6But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Our faith is to be in the Lord..
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
This is how to build your faith up is by exposure. Spend time every day reading and confessing the Word of God.. Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. God will build His Word in you as you spent time with Him in His Word.
Mark 9
23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth
This is what we are striving to get to the point of. Not everyone’s faith level is up this high. In fact very little if anyone’s faith is up to this level. This is what we strive for. Wanting to someday get to this level.. What keeps us from getting to this level is the devil. The devil and his demons gets in our way. Lying to us and putting obstacles in our way. The devil will try to get us to look away from what we are believing for. The devil will try to get us to doubt and get into unbelief. The devil will use a lot of different devices against us. People, family, friends, acquaintances, enemies, And even our own unrenewed mind. As long as a person stays in the Word of God. Confessing God’s Word and acting on God’s Word faith will grow. No one will start out with strong faith but in time as time goes by faith will keep growing. No one’s faith will stay at the same level where they started out. No one who is exercising their faith will stay where they started out. They will grow in faith. The person’s faith will grow. They will be able to believe God for more things than they could before. It’s a growing process.
Romans 12
3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Every person has been given the measure of faith. Everyone has been given the measure of faith to get saved.
Mark 10
13And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Faith is belief like a child has. Tell your child that you are going to take them somewhere and it’s in cement. You better not forget for your child won’t forget. The child will take you at y our word. Your word is as good as done to your child. This is faith at it’s finest. This is how God wants for us to believe Him. God said it we believe and that settles it.
27And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
We need to keep this in mind when we pray and ask God for something for someone. With God nothing is impossible. We need to keep this in mind when we pray to God.
46And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
49And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Faith is what is required to get healed or to get anything from God. God requires us to believe Him. To believe His Word. Through faith we get our healing, finances met, saved and etc, etc, etc.
Mark 11
11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
Jesus was showing us what faith can do. Jesus spoke and the fig tree obeyed.
19And when even was come; he went out of the city.
20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
We are to believe that we have what we are asking for when we ask for them not when we get them.. The believing starts when we ask God for whatever it is not when we get the actual possession of whatever it is. Just backwards of what we are so programmed into thinking that it is. We are programmed into thinking we get what we are asking for when we get the actual possession. This is not true. We are to believe that we received what we are asking God for when we ask God for it. Not when we receive it. When we receive it what faith will it take to believe then.. How much faith do you have to muster up for something you already have in your possession? None right? It takes faith to believe that someone has what they are believing for but do not have yet in actual possession yet.
Mark 16
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
We are among those who believe so we are saved

1 Corinthians 2

1And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
This says it all that our faith should not be in men or in anything or this world. For the devil is the ruler of this world. The devil manipulates this world. Our faith should not lie in this world nor in the wisdom of this world. Our faith should be in the power of God. Our faith should be in God. In God’s Word.
Luke 1
38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
This is what we should say!
39And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
40And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Luke 7
1Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
3And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
What God is looking for is faith in people. The Word says that when he comes ( this is second time) will He find faith on the earth. Faith in God is what God is looking for. What to know to please God have faith in Him. Believe His Word. Believe The Word of God. This is how to please God.
Luke 8
9And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
22Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
23But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
24And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
25And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commanded even the winds and water, and they obey him.
We all have been given the measure of faith. So we don’t start out with nothing. Our faith grows as we use our faith and feed it. The more we feed on the Word of God and use our faith the more our faith will grow.
Luke 8
41And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:
42For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.
43And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
44Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
1 Corinthians 13
13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Love is what charity means. The greatest is love.
Luke 18
1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Here is where it is written when Jesus Christ comes back will He find faith on the earth. It takes faith to get to heaven. Without faith no one will get to heaven. A person must believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
2 Corinthians 4
13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
What we believe we speak and act upon. We speak and act our faith.
2 Corinthians 5
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Hebrews 12
1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
We are to keep our eyes on Jesus, Who is the author and finisher of our faith.
